1990 Volvo 740 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 180k miles

the car will start only with a shot of starting fluid and then not idle and stalls out .however it will run fine as long as you keep your foot on the gas

Check your EGR and rubber elbos and pipe for cracks and the EGR valve being carbon tracked, also change The PCV valve and check the hose for cracks on the rubbers. and finally clean out the throttle body and make sure the IAC is hooked up properly, the pintle should move freely when taken off, if not replace.
