1989 Volvo 740 oil leaking badly

seems to originate from what i think is the timing chain cover or whatever the large plastic elbow shaped piece directly behind belts. is this possable and how difficult would it be to find and replace myself? should i try to bring it to a repair shop? what mould be an esstimate on cost

Could be camshaft seal or crankshaft. It is going to be $$$ @$500to $700
