My 242 DL won't start with the key. I can short across the solenoid, and it will start. No clicking or any other noises when key is turned.

I've replaced the starter with one that's been tested at two other places.

Any ideas what I can check? I have a multimeter. Where can I use it to test?

Hi there,

You will need to check power at the ignition switch and power through the switch on crank, start there.
