1993 Volvo 240 coolant leaking

I changed thermostat & everything OK one hour later I restarted engine & now have coolant leaking from either water pump or front of cylinder head any ideas as to why it started leaking? no leaks before.
thermostat was stuck open for about 8 months thats
why i changed.

You will have to pressure test the system to pin point where the leak is, sometimes these thing do happen, a new leak starts for no particular reason. do a pressure test first.
