What could cause the car to not shift into over drive and woukd it be expensive to repair. I am lloking at buying the car and it drives and shifts smoothly but want shuft into the OD

Hi there,

this is normally a faulty OD solenoid in the transmission, you can have it checked easily by just checking the power at the solenoid, if no power check the fuse or the relay or the button on the shifter, the solenoid is external so it can be replaced easily.
