Runs well up to 1/2 throttle. Pushing throttle beyond 1/2 results in no additional power.

OK,
To start with make sure that you are actually getting full throttle at the throttle body, have someone press the accelerator down and check that the butterfly is fully opening, also do a scan , check for faulty TPI sensor, start here.
