Shakes or Wobbles problem
2009 Volkswagen Touareg 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 8000KM miles

I GET A VIBRATION AT THE SPEED OF 140 KM. IT IS NOT WHEEL BALANCING PROBLEM, AS THE THE WHOLE BODY STARTS A SLIGHT VIBRATION. AS SOON I SLOW DOWN TO 130 THE VIBRATION GOES.

ALSO THERE IS A GRINDING/ HUMMING NOISE AT A LOW RPM I,E 800 TO 1000RPM.

VW DEALER SAYS THE VIBRATION IS DUE TO FAULTY REAR DIFFERENTIAL AND HAVE ORDERD FOR THE PART. DO YOU THINK IT WAS A CORRECT DIAGNOSIS. APPRECIATE YOUR HELP IN ADVANCE

Hi

I know that this is an old post, but was the issue sorted out with the new rear differential that was ordered??

Thanks in advance!
