Drivers side of the car, end of the engine where the water hose hooks to the head there is three single wires and three sensers of some sort. My wires on two of the sensers have melted. What are these sensers and if they were bad would that melt the wires

The three sensors you describe should be; cooling fan switch, temp gauge, and engine temp sensor. The only thing I can think of that would cause that kind of damage is a shorted sensor to ground compiled with an "over sized" fuse. Check your fuses.

These are wires for the coolant heater, there are three of them on the drivers side of the engine, they heat the coolant on cold days when the engine can't produce enough heat. Get the coolant heater plugs checked out to make sure they are not bad
