The copper strap between the solenoid part of the starter motor and the body of starter motor keeps burning out, this is my third starter motor in about a year, any ideas what is causing it?

Hi there,

This is normally a sign of over loading, or that the strap is not tight on the attach points, if the car is hard to start and is cranked for extended periods this can in the long term affect the power strap and the starter, also check all the engine & chassis earths, may be all an extra engine earth strap from the starter mounting bolt to the body.
