Loud engine sound?

I just got the car and i can hear the engine loud when i start the car up and also while driving. the place i got it from said it's because i dont have an engine cover. I just want to get a second opinion.

Thanks for the video. The engine sounds okay to me so I would have to say the engine cover with its insulation would help this problem. Also check the engine oil level and change it if it is dirty while using the correct weight oil. This guide can help walk you through the steps:
