hi there,i have a polo mk4 and every when the engine is cold it takes 1 minute to start and some times engine check light comes on,and when i tested the spark plug current sometimes make spark and sometimes not and sometimes after 5 sec of trying start it comes the spark,do you thing its the ignition coil?

Could you tell me what size ingine your polo has (ie.) 1.2L etc. also is it fitted with coil on plug (3 coils one on each plug) or a multi coil pack !! ... I would be checking the CKP .. (crank position sensor) wiring or removing and cleaning/replacing the CKP .. let me know
