Electrical problem
2003 Volkswagen Passat 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 85k miles

I have a 2003 volkswagen passat. The steering wheel controls and horn no longer function. Although, the horn works because the horn and signal lights beep and flash, respectively, when I remotely lock the car. I checked all the fuses in the fuse compartment to the left of the steering wheel and none seem to be at fault. I even replaced the few I thought were the culprits. Finally, I reset the OBD II system by disconnecting the battery and reconnecting. Still no controls on the steering wheel function and manual deployment of the horn fails. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

I would be thinking that the problem is in the wheel and possibly the slip rings that conduct the power for the controls, now if this has a n Air bag get the dealer to remove the wheel and check tis out, don't attempt this if it is air bag equipped.
