Air Conditioning problem
2003 Volkswagen Passat V8 All Wheel Drive 89,000 miles

How can it be determined if mold and mildew are in the airconditioner/core/coils. VW has replaced the carpet, twice. Said there was a leak in the sun roof drain. However it is supposed to be fixed now and the car is supposed to be free of mold and mildew. When I turn on the AC or heater I can detect the smell/sense it ( I have mold and mildew allergies and asthma) with my "nose".
Have you ever heard of mold and mildew in the AC/heater system?
What to do?
This car drives like a dream. But still has the mold and mildew smell.
I would appreciate your help.

If the vehicle has sunroof the sunroof drains might be stopped up open both front doors in the higes of the doors you should see a rubber nipple take a pair of wire cutters and cut the tip of off both of them what it is that when it rains water runs down the drain and then backs and runs into the vehicle if does not work then one of the drain lines is not seated in the nipple
