2002 Volkswagen Passat 4 cyl Automatic 90000 miles

I got low oil pressure stop the motor alarm while I was driving my 2002 Volkswagen passat yesterday. After few seconds the alarm went away. Then I drove my car to home. Today I took the car to a Automobile shop to check to see the Engine oil level. The mechanic in shop told me that the oil level is good. Please advice me on what could be the problem.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

The first thing that you need to do is get the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge, this will give you the true pressure readings, check this first as you may have a faulty sender or gauge.
