Is there any way of resetting the check engine light on a 1999 Volkswagen Passat? I tried disconnecting the battery, but that did not work. Is there a fuse that controls it that can be disconnected?

Hi Stykey,

You need a Diagnostic Tester/Scan tool to reset. However if a fault is present, it will not reset until the fault has been repaired.
