I just a bought a 1999 VW V6 2.8 manual passat and after a 2 weeks of driving the oil and brake light started flashing.
I replaced the oil and filters and the oil light keeps flashing.
I did check the brakes and they seem to be OK .
I have call the dealer about trying to reset the oil light but they said that the light is not resetable.
Any Ideas and what to check?

Hi there.

hopefully the flashing light is a faulty sender unit. but to be sure, have the oil pressure tested with a master gauge, this will give a true indication as to the oil pressure. Get this reading first, then if pressure is ok replace sender unit.
