My car makes a clicking sound when I am driving. Through all the gears, but it dissapears when I push the clutch in. What could this be?

Hi there,

This could be a faulty finger on the clutch pressure plate or a bad thrust bearing, both will be loaded up with the clutch pedal down so often any noise here will go away at this time, a mechanic can often diagnoses this with a drive as pedal vibration and a feel can often be picked up as well.

That's where its hard to say with out a road test, it could be a transmission fault, but I feel it is in the clutch, a road test by a mechanic is the next step to be sure.
