I have a 1999 VW Passat 2.8l v6 with 125,000 miles on it. The front tie rods are loose. What should I expect to pay to have them replaced. There was a recall on the tie rods a few years ago because VW used aluminum ones, but I believe my car was not part of that recall.

Well if you go to the dealership and depending on there labor rate you can expect to pay anywhere to 1.5 to 2.0 hrs of labor which should be 165.00 to 220.00 dollars on labor and I believe the part to be aprox. 65.00 dollars for the tie rod ends and about 90.00 dollare for the entire tie rod. Hope this helps and good luck.
