my car is stalling out when I come to a stop.I've adjusted the valves to .006 feeler gauge blade, and even adjusted the idle air screw. The car will start back up three times of so after the initial stalling.then it can only be started with a jump. Is the problem the alternator or is it something to do with the timing? What should I do?

Could be timing- or vacuum problem or both. Check your timing vs. manufacturer's recommendations and make sure that the vacuum advance/retard actually work.
