Hi,
I have a VW Polo 1.4 SE 2000 model and just got it servised last saturday. however, today, when i started driving, a warning about my oil appered on screen.
once i got to work i let my car rest for about 4 hours and went back to check on it...it appers the oil is too high (checked using dipstick about 3-4 times).

what could have caused it? on saturday (6 days ago), my mechanic showed me the level and it was spot on the top mark. does anyone know what might have happened to increase the level? no other warning symbols or messages have been displayed.

thanks for any help i recieve

There are two reasons for you oil too high. One is that they put in the wrong amount and needs to be corrected immediatly as it could cause engine damage.

The other is you have oil in your engine. If the oil looks milky and is over full and you have a low oil pressure problem then it's not good news. I hope not because it's pricy..
