I recently went to toronto a 5 hr drive and on my way back I was hearing a humming noise coming from the front passenger side almost sounds like a motorcycle sound from a distance it is not very noticable but if you know your car you do notice it was wondering if this is a tire problem or tierod or wheel bearing but my tires are brand new? Did you get any fix for your problem? If you did could you please let me know about it as well.

I have the same problem, only diffrence is that on making right turns/lane change the sound is very prominent, it is less prominent while driving straight. BUT it completely disapears when making a left turn/lane change.

Funny thing is it started just 2 days ago, after my trip from toronto. I drove for about 950 miles.

It can either be cv shaft, or wheel bearings. Because my jeep made the same noise but it was the bearing. Lift the front and wiggle the tires. If it wiggles. Its more than likely your bearings. I would get all bearings replaced at the same time because when 1 goes bad. Great chance another will go soon.

This is one of those things where you have to think back B4 the hum. Did you add/change anything to the car and now the hum appears? You said new tires? Was the hum there B4 the tires? If not, then I would say the tire tread noise is what you hear. I have bought new tires and that was the problem. The way I could tell, was taking off the tires and putting on my mags with the summer tires.
Does the noise vary according to the speed you are driving or a change in the road surface? Narrowing it down that way makes it easier to diagnose.
