Car stuck in 3rd Gear

2000 vw jetta 2.0 auto 86K miles
ok. Last night I park car outside (& try to take out some fuses from fuse box just in safe side), in the morning when I put it back & car turn ON, Engine light was ON. & Car stays in 3rd gear, can’t drive much coz its not shifting gears, I call vw they said car is in SAFE MODE. My mechanic check with OBD reader & said there is 6 codes for transmission, I recheck the fuses, all was ok...
now car runs perfectly fine but stays in 3rd gear & won’t shift.
Please let me know if I can reset this code. Or have to take to stealership

Update:
ok while driving today I hit the gas hard & all of a sudden all went ok. Car running fine & there is no Engine Light anymore.

Just for safe side I stop by to a mechanic & he said there are 4 code OBD reader catch. 514, 528, 554 (i forgot the last one)

as per himi ahve 4 computers in my car doing diff. Job, most likely yr main computer is gone & if I can fix coz $600 else I could be $1200

car is fine now but. Now donno what to do.

Well I decide to get my own OBD reader & check myself
