2001 Volkswagen Temperature Gauge

Temp gauge running cool if heat is turned on and at speeds over 40 mph. Water pump and thermostat have never been replaced. Radiator has been flushed once in 6 yrs.

Sounds like the thermostat could be stuck part way open. Now would be a great time for a cooling system service. Depending on where you are from the weather is going to be changing
