My Jetta has about 130K miles on it. Runs good but just doesn't seem to have quite the pickup I feel it should. When I depress the gas peddle completely to the floor it doesn't seem to have very much throttle response. I have to depress the peddle slowly and gradually give it gas or it bogs. I have changed the glow plugs and the glow plug harness which did make the "check engine" light go away. I also removed the throttle body and cleaned it as I heard the EGR valve may be the problem. The gunk buildup was very bad but is now clean. The turbo seems to kick in late once the RPM's get up. I had the timing belt replaced at about 100k. Thanks for your help.
