I want to know what may be causing this problem and if I should even invest in getting a vehicle of this sort if its going to be expensive to fix and or diagnoise?

Are you doing the work? If so and you know your way around a tool box, bid VERY low money!

I actually donot know my way around the tool box in regards to fixing cars, but I am pretty sure I can learn how to do the basics. Would anyone recommend that I only spend about 500.00 dollars on the car just because I may have to invest a lot more in the future? Satin

No I dont want to by a headache at all so your recomending to only spend 300.00 and not 500.00? Do you have an estimated guess of how much this type of work will cost?

The clutch work will run about 700.00 the engine work? First we must diagnose the problem! Sounds like it's posibly fuel related Say 500.00 for a 4cyl tune up Say it's a late type in tank pump it will cost 1180.00 for parts and labor to fix! So far you are up to 2300.00 for repairs and tune up maybe!
