1995 VW Polo Repairing Seat Belt

My passenger seat belt doesn't retract anymore so it just hangs. I have my MOT next week and need to get this sorted .... I pulled the door panel off yesterday and can see the mechanism but have no idea what part of it contracts the retraction of the seat belt when you undo it ..... any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

You are unable to tamper with seat belt mechanisms. You will have to replace the belt as a unit. Do not buy one from the wreckers as you don't know the history of it.
