1994 Golf 1.8L fuel smell

Hi, I have a 1994 Golf Cl 1.8L, there is a fuel smell when I turn the ventilation Fan On, I don't see any leak anywhere, smells only comes when the fan is on. any suggestions would be apreciated, thank you!

Check the filler pipe for pinholes...common problem, all makes!

It's the pipe were you fill the car with gas! Runs between the fender and the tank...
