1993 VW Eurovan Heater Fan

Heater fan cage (motor/cage one unit) needs replacement. Lost a number of blades and is out of balance.


Suggestions on R&R? Dash interferes with removal.

And if dash must be removed,

Where can I find procedure?

Balance with tape or some material?

Amazingly simple thing; way troublesome to accomplish, it seems.

I have been looking around beneath dash and it appears the bottom part of the heater/air duct is "clipped" together.

Will removing this bottom portion allow fan R&R?

I know it is basic stuff but I have no clue.
