1985 Other Volkswagen Models lack of heat

The heater fan just stopped. No heat coming out, tho it does come out on the highway. Not normal but heat. Fuses are good. Any suggestions?

Check for power at the fan motor, if power with switch on , fan motor faulty, otherwise check switch.
