1968 Other Volkswagen Models 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I am trying to rewire a Vw with an empi universal wiring kit and ignition and I can not figure where the coil wire should be hooked to on the ign switch.the ignition switch is labeled with: st=starter, acc=accesories, bat=battery,ign=ignition. I can get it to turn over but once I release the key it just stops.

Hi tsupi,

The coil wire should be wired to the IGNITION terminal.
