Hi tammypeake,

You need to remove the ATF level plug.

What do the numbers in the picture stand for? If you pull the plug, won't the trans fluid come out?

Thanks for any help

Hi chutes333,

1 is the plug.
2 is the level tube.
3, is filling tube.
4. Is cap.

Removing the plug ( 1 ) would only allow excess fluid to flow out. To drain you need to remove level tube ( 2 ).

Item 4 has to be replaced if it is removed as it is locked.
