Heater problem
2005 Volkswagen Jetta Front Wheel Drive Manual

I have a 2.0L engine in my Jetta. Once it warms up If I keep driving, it starts to get hotter than where it normally should be. When I'm at a stop sign or a light it cools down as it idles. I have checked the hoses and the top hose is hot but the bottom hose coming from the rad is cool. I'm not a mechanic but my guess would be a water pump gone dead.
