2003 Volkswagen Jetta over heating

2003 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA

My jetta overheated temp light came on and temp shot up to 260. I changed the thermostat now it is still overheating but now the radiator and the lower radiator hose is not getting warm. Also where is the water pump located on the engine?

The water pump is no.15
