2003 Volkswagen Jetta Idle

2003 Jetta dies at idle. Will run fine when the engine is revved and runs fine driving down the highway but when it comes to a stop again the engine dies. It restarts fine but the problem persists. This is an intermttant issue and sometimes it will idle just fine. Please help.

have your idle air control valve tested and replace if necessary. also do a throttle body cleaning and replace your air filter if dirty. let me know what happens
