Grinding noise almost like baseball cards in bicycle spokes?

My car is making a grinding noise almost like baseball cards in bicycle spokes. It's starts when I'm idle at a red light and continues louder when I drive. What could the source of the problem be? The oil and coolant levels are fine.

Start by checking the front brake pads if its making noise while slowly moving from a stop.

They said it makes noise while standing still how it is going to be the brakes? To me it sounds like you have a belt tension that is going bad, to be sure remove the serpentine belt and start the car, if the noise is gone replace the tensioner.
