Add to previous question.
By the things I have indicated with the fluid leaking and grinding can you tell me what might be wrong with my car?

Once the leak is fixed should that solve the problem?

Depends on where the grinding is coming from.

If the clutch got contaminated from the gear oil leaking onto it, you might also need to have the clutch replaced.

If the grinding is coming from inside the transmission... damage may have occurred from running low on fluid.

A transmission shop will be able to diagnose better than me over the internet.
