car burns about a quart of oil per 2000-2100 miles. No burning smell, no smoke, no oil leaking onto ground. It just runs through oil to where we have to add a quart at about 2000-2100 ofmthe 3000 between oil changes.

Hi there,

my lubrication index calls for 10W-40 or 15W-40 i would check with VW in your town as to what they recommend, i feel that the 5W-30 is to light.
