Brakes problem
2000 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 60 K miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
We recently purchased a used Jetta. When we push down on the brake pedal there is a click and then the pedal goes all the way to floor. The only way to then release it completely is to put a foot under the pedal and lift up. Then the pedal releases completely. What is going on?
Thanks.

Hi there,

I would start by having the brake master cylinder checked as it may be by-passing. if there is no fluid loss and the reservoir is remaining full, i would start there.
