2000 Volkswagen Jetta how to install an air filter

2000 Volkswagen Jetta Automatic 60000 miles

I want to replace my air filter. It was easy to find and replace on my previous cars, but now I own a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta. I can't find the air filter location in my car or in the car manual. Will I need any special tools? Or do you recommend that I just take it to a Volkswagen dealer?
