On two occasions now my temperatur gauge in the car has gone off. Each time has been after the car has idled for 15-20 minutes. At a quick glance, the mechanic thought it could be the thermostat or temp sensor but also said the engine fan was kicking on properly. Any idea on cost to fix this problem?

Hi there,

If the fans are working i would be checking the thermostat, pressure cap and radiator for a blockage, start here.
