1998 Volkswagen Jetta door locks

the jetta was in a front end collision and it was all replaced, now my car will not lock using the remote. how do i check sensors or other parts to get it to lock?

It is possible that while the vehicle was being repaired, the shop had to unplugged the battery. The alarm/keyless entry system lost its memory to your remote. Just re-program your remote.
