1997 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Manual 124000 miles

I have a '97 VW Jetta, that hasn't started in almost 3 months. I am not getting any spark. At first I changed the plugs and coil pack, and tested the wires. I then did a little more investigating and found that there is spark going TO the distributor, but not FROM the distributor. How can I fix this?

Have the exact same problem everyone has told me either the crankshaft position sensor (engine speed sensor) or ECU/ECM (computer) please let me know if you have come up with another solution or a way to test these parts. Benson-stacy@hotmail. Com
