1997 Volkswagen Jetta e-brake lights is coming on when prob

When my e-brake light comes on dimly on the instrument cluster randomly(without me pulling the e-brake) my headlights and A/C will not work or turn on. What do you think the problem is?

I believe it is a poor wiring connection somewhere.

Check the fuses, wiring connectors and ignition switch.
