1994 Volkswagen Jetta 178800 miles

The oil light indicator started beeping so I put 2 quarts of oil in. Will the heat cause this indicator to beep? I live in Las Vegas and it's about 112 degrees. It never beep until it started to get hot.

Were you low on oil when you put 2 quarts in it? If so, then that might be your problem. If the problem still persists after your fluid level is ok then you either have an oil pressure problem, oil sending unit problem, or wiring problem. Keep us posted.
