1985 Volkswagen Jetta fuel saturation in air intake & c

1985 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

The #1 & #4 cylinders had several inches of gas in them and fuel was pouring our of air intake after removal of air filter. I have already replaced the fuel pressure regulator. What do I need to do to repair this vehicle?? Thank YOU!

I would be removing all the injectors and having them tested for leakage, also change the oil & filter before re starting, and i would also check that the cold start valve is not leaking as well, start here.
