Shakes or Wobbles problem
2002 Volkswagen Golf Manual 75000 miles

I have a VW Golf GT TDi 52 plate, it has started vibrating and shuddering when I accelerate and seems to get worse when it hits 1500rpm. Its also got black smoke coming out from the back of it. And it has a constant 'ticking' noise. Could you give me an idea as to whats wrong with it

Hi there,

I would have injectors serviced, and get a comp test just to make sure all is ok, the ticking noise may be a faulty hydraulic lifter, and engine flush may help this, if not the lifters must be replaced as a set if they are found to be faulty, start here.
