1994 Volkswagen Golf gear 1 is becoming hard to access.

i seem to struggle to get to gear 1 even when the clutch pedal is down to the limit. is there any kind of fluid i should have for the clutch?
e.g brake fluid for the brakes

Hi there,

You use the same fluid in the clutch, if the fluid is low, you will have to check for a leak at the master cylinder or the slave cylinder, have the transmission oil level checked as well and get a stall test done on the clutch by someone that known how to do it correctly, start here.
