There is an adjusting nut, with a lock nut on it, lift the parking brake lever dour clicks, then use a 10mm deep socket turn the adjusting nut until drag is felt at rear wheels tight lock nut up, VW says you only need to adjust lever arter cables or backing plate replacement, check your rear shoes, they may be worn out, this will be evident if the adjusting wedge is pulled all the way down!
