1997 Volkswagen Eurovan 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

Hi ,I am swapping engines,i have a vw van with a bosch deisel pump but the doner engine from a skoda has an electronic lucas pump .My van has no ecu and i dont have the key or ecu electrics for the doner pump,Can I remove the electronics from the lucas pump and wire direct to the solonoid ,by passing the elctronics completely? i know i can just use my old pump but the lucas pump is like new(44000 miles)cheers.

you are playing with the laws of physics, that is a good way to get killed, the only way you can run the lucas pump, is to get the electronic wiring harness off of that engine with the computer and adapt it to your Van, and you are going to have lots of fun, I hope the van is worth it.
