1999 Volkswagen Cabrio driver side window

my passenger side window works, but not my drivers side window doesn't. where should i start looking to fix this problem. thanks

I would start with the up/down switch, trade one side with the other and see if they work now, if they do, then you know you need a switch, if that is not the problem, then you will have to have someone help you take the door panel off to see if it is still on track, also if the window regulator, if faulty then the window wont work either, the regulator, serves as the window frame with wheels on it, so it can freely move up and down
